Rim Locks and Knobs

Our range of rim locks and door knobs are priced from as low as £3,99 for basic brown plastic rim knobs for rim locks and sash locks, up to a maximum of £17.50 for a sophisticated Victorian brass rim sash lock door knob set. Other options within the range include double handed dead locks, in addition to rim locks and sash locks.

Also described as mortice locks, are deadlocks or sash locks. A deadlock consists of a key hole and a bolt, whilst a sash lock has a bolt and a latch and a pair of handles. Rim locks are commonly known as ‘Yale’ locks (after the brand), whereby the door locks automatically behind you, opening from the inside without a key, but with a key from the outside.

Such locks are available in a variety of colours to suit your home. These include brown, white, grey, black, brass, and chrome, with some options combining different finishes.
